What’s the point in being consistent?

What is the point though? You manage your business pretty well, considering the circumstances. You get some social media posts out when you get a chance, in between making orders or meeting with clients, and all the other 100s of jobs you need to do. You’re making money, it’s a bit tight, but everyone is in that boat at the moment, aren’t they? Everyone is finding the cost of living a challenge! And you have to manage all of that between school runs, doing the dinner, the washing etc. etc. Let’s be honest, you don’t really have a proper job. You have the luxury of working from home and the bills get paid, so you should be grateful for that. It will do. NO IT WON’T! YOU DESERVE MORE! Firstly, it is a proper job! If anyone tells you that you don’t have a proper job, please send them my way…I mean it. You may have already guessed that I was trying to wind you up a bit, with the beginning of this email. I disagree with all of it. Question is, do you believe you have a business worth being consistent for? I had a bit of a revelation last week, that maybe, I actually choose to see the struggle or create the struggle to get in my own way. To join in with society and moaning about having a ‘bad day’. I can tell you for a fact I don’t actually have bad days at work. I have moments of challenge in my working week, but not bad days. Take today for example, my husband and I have had two nights of disturbed sleep due to our gorgeous dog Skyla being petrified of fireworks (and some complete donut, setting them off at 3am!) and Jackson, our son, being poorly and being up half the night coughing. Today, I have had to manage working with having him at home. I will have to work late tonight, on not much sleep, but I am grateful that I am able to adjust my work around my son. I am proper knackered, but I’m proper grateful. Choosing to see the joy in your day, takes practise - it’s not an over night skill that you can just pick up. It takes consistency. It takes flipping your thoughts from worry mode to Warrior mode, every single hour of every single day. This is where my consistency metaphor, really comes into it’s own. On today’s No Rest For The Vivid Mini Monday episode, I talk to you about how being consistent is like turning the elastic band. You can listen by clicking this link ➡ LISTEN

If you keep turning, if you keep consistent, with even the little things, one day when you may not have as much energy, or you have a challenging day, all that practise of consistency will come into it’s own. The potential energy that has been stored inside the twisted elastic band, will be released and will be energy that grows your business. And your business deserves that. It deserves you to stop procrastinating, stop comparing yourself to others, stop worrying that you don’t have a proper job. Your business needs you to believe it’s here for a reason and it deserves you to believe you are the CEO Warrior Boss, you are. It needs you to start being more consistent. FACT.

🌟Success task🌟 ◾Write down all the ways you get in your own way. ◾Choose one and next to it, write down three solutions. For example; never knowing what to post on Instagram.

Solutions: 1. Plan three posts a week. 2. Plan the week before what images/video clips you could use. 3. Get the creation of your social media posts out of the way and make it the first thing you do at the beginning of your working day.
